Yay!
So I'm off to the Red Wings Training camp this weekend in Traverse City.
This will be my fourth year going. It'* awesome, the tickets a dirt cheap, and you get to stand outside and get autographs! For the past 3 years I've gotten some autographs, no famous people most rookies, but hopefully that will change.
As weird as it sounds I've never actually been to a game. I've never had the money to make the trip. My dad has tried to get tickets every season (as a B-day gift to me) but he has never been able to. But the training camp is sweet.
Here is a pic of the jersey i get signed...
The biggest player i have is Valtteri Filppula, almost got Jiri Fischer, but he skipped over me :( I also have Dave Lewis on there (coach 02-03 03-04 seasons)

The Jersey is a Hasek jersey - The Dominator
This poster is above my bed - instead of a dream-catcher i've got a goalie

My friends dad (who dosn't even watch the wings, he just tags along) got Chelios autograph on his ticket. He was out havin a smoke and saw Chelios walking to his car.

Cool. Have a good time.
I hear Hockey can be expensive to see.
I have a cousin who is a Sabres fan, and lives in Buffalo.
She went on a bus trip to Toronto to see a game, said it was cheaper.

I was a Washington Caps season ticket holder for 12 years. The wings have a decent following in the DC area. What is kind of neat about hockey is that whenever one of the original 6 teams came into town there was always a large crowd. The wings have had a lot of class players over the years.
BTW Tailbump when I first started to go to the games in the 74 season the medium tier ticket was only $4.00.
The Caps actually had a guarantee win night. If the Caps did not win then you got a ticket to another game. I saw a lot of games that way.

$4 FTW!!!
Even here our minor league team is like $11 for the cheap tickets. Not bad for one person, but it adds up quick to take the whole family.
Luckily my bro-in-law gets free tickets from work several times a year

Just got back from the training camp. This year was awesome!
We got tickets in the first row, right on the corner next to the net. We were practicly on the ice it was awesome!
Got to see one fight, it was on the other side of the ice so it wasn't too visible but still sweet. Then right in front of us one of the prospects got smashed in the face w/ the puck, pretty sure it broke his nose, there was blood all over, it was sweet :P
Then after the game was the autograph session. For those of you who don't know how it works, like 200 people stand out side the rear entrance, thats barricaded off and hope the players are in a good enough mood to sign some autographs.
I was pretty happy, i got Dominik Hasek, had him sign right on the number 39 on my jersey. So now i have a Dominik Hasek signed Hasek Jersey! He only signed about 30 people, and amazingly i was in the right place at the right time, and i got his!
I also got some other big players - - Kris Draper, Henrik Zetterberg, Mikael Samuelson, Jiri Hudler, Kyle Quincey. And i got a few rookies/prospects too.
All in all it was a good weekend
