What is really funny is I told him he had a 4t60e, and said it cant handle the torque of 11.8'* stock, and he said it was a modified 4t60e. So if he had half a brain and knew his car well enough, hed know it was a 4t45e. He started using all the big words like cam, rings, pistons, rods all had to be changed, and how he knows about all the different Gen'* of cars. Its quite sad, im guessing he study'* "cars" but knows nothing about them.

THOSE are the kind of people that bother me. The people who say they know stuff, yet know jack ****.

What really pissed me off like I said though, was that 2 of my friends backed him up, since everyone still thinks im wrong about a GTP beating a 323i.

Right, but you criticize that Civics are economy cars and it makes no sense to run 'em on the track or mod them. I could still argue that you've got a "grandpa" car and not understand why you run it. To each their own. They're not "wrong" to run a Civic and you're not "wrong" to run a Buick.

By the way, a '96-'00 Civic Si should run 15.7 in the 1/4

repinS is da man because he has yet to open the hateorade on hondas!!!
LOLLerskates ( ), I defend all cars because I like cars of all origins (I'm personally quite neutral to most Hondas, esp. Civics), but I'm more of a Toyota man myself

The reason Im gonna buy a civic and modify it is the pure satisfaction of seeing the disbelieving look on the face of the 5 liter or v6 or V8 owner as I beat him in my "econobox"

Also its not just the stripped cars that are running this fast as you claim. My buddy has a crx that has full interior and full system and he beats prosches and vettes on regular occaision.

Personally I get agitated at any kind of hating talk on any car, they all have their merits and can be made very fast and still daily driven

I guess it differs on where you live but in Winnipeg (where Im from) the worst drivers with the worst habits, attitudes and just plain jerks are the mustang/camaro/trans am/ firebird drivers.

Likewise, many here modify their Bonnevilles and get pure satisfaction at the look of sports car owners when they beat them in their seemingly normal full size sedan.

One could argue that domestic car owners have poor attitudes and drivers as well. There'* a huge lot of import car drivers on other forums out there that are the nicest and most respectful car guys out there. See, a lot of these guys are the older set of import people, not unlike here. In fact, after hanging out on ToyotaNation a bit, those guys aren't too unlike guys over here. Granted, we're tighter-knit, but both communities are friendly places. Both sides have their ******, both sides have their nice folk. No matter what make or country of origin you go to, there *will* be fanboys and there *will* be childish "I'm-right-you're-wrong--worship-me-now" folk.

Nice discussion we're having, eh?

But that shaft is still there, and is sealed with a plug that has an O-ring that will degrade over time causing the engine to leak like a sive...lol
Sieve is right. The Sunbird we had leaked 3 litres (1 litre = 1000mL; 1 quart = 946ml, right??) *weekly*

First of all stay on topic. If you boast that your Civic is fast and the greatest thing in the world, thats poor.

No matter how fast your Civic is, its still a civic. Plain and simple.

JR if I get into a war with him again, ill bring up a few of your points. So the way I see it is, stock GM pistons are alot better than aftermarket ones? I mean Teflon coating is something you pay extra for.
If im wrong correct me, im not an internal master. Thanks!
