Tooth infections can kill if not treated. If it gets into your bloodstream...BAM
My dentist can give shots that don't even hurt sometimes...I don't know how.
The trick is, let them shoot the first one in, give it a minute to get numb, then shoot the rest.

Yeah I have to agree. Toothaches that extreme really suck. But I agree that even with it being that infected I'd get it checked out right away. Some infections can travel through the bloodstream and cause you problems in other parts of your body. Not a good thing. Hope you feel better soon.

Skip the dentist now, head to emergency, you need some serious drugs now. You need to get that drained, and then my friend you will have to suck it up and go to the dentist. Sorry sweetie, but that is what is going to happen anyway. Hey think about this, when our daughter was one and a half, she fell on her grandparents ceramic floor and cracked her two brand new front teeth that were in, we didn't know it at the time. So anyway, when she was three, the teeth basically rotted and she developed an absess, which was really bad. And at three years of age, she had to have her two front teeth pulled, which she did, and she didn't even cry, not one bit. So if a three year old little girl can do it, I think a big boy like you can do it too.

Pmom I am on some serious DRUGS 300mg of Ratio-Clindamycin,
The problem is that there are no dentists around here that will pull and abscessed tooth untill the patient has been on Antibiotics for at least 10 days.

So, is that drug an anti-biotic? Or pain meds? You will definitely need the antibiotics first like you said, but her idea for the ER is right on.. That'* where I went when they drained mine. It was pretty unpleasant, but I don;t think your thrilled your current condition either. Hope you get some relief soon.

i agree with bandit, after blowing out both knees (the right one popped twice) and tearing a bunch of tendons in your shoulder, youll learn to love the dentist
