Yeah.

Two jobs ago I was their go-to guy for all the stuff nobody else wanted because it was too technical or the customer was upset or etc.

Guess who got to go do all the stuff nobody else wanted because it was too technical or the customer was upset or etc.

I'd have to say I enjoyed it more than doing the cookie cutter stuff though. And it appears I am good at that stuff as it turns out.

And once people find out you work they want you to do all the work while they collect a paycheck too and take credit for what you did.
To add insult to injury people actually think helping you is getting tools etc. that are needed for you to do the work. I helped Joe dig that hole...I went and got him the shovel he used to dig it.
Then people tell you how great you are and how appreciated you are. puke
This country has become socialist among other things.

Yeah, often in the light of compressing the timeline. The theory was often that if I didn't have to walk 20 feet to get a piece of equipment and then 20 feet back again, then I could do the more valuable work uninterrupted. The reality is that the 40 feet of walking is my chance to breathe for a moment . . . and often the grunt they'd send to be my gofer was more work than help and they'd expect that the gofer would be an expert after a trip like that.

. . . while paying people I was training more than they were paying me as it turns out . . . but we're not allowed to talk about compensation packages for some reason. Wonder why.

I could see that once the secondaries open up.

2000RPM with 4.11:1 at 30MPH in 1:1 would be like 21.6" diameter tires, so like 235/35R15ish?

When I bought the car the guy told me 4.11:1 could be 4.56:1 I always wondered because of the high RPM'*.
15" tires. 235 is right on the width.

Yes we had temp workers years ago and they were making more than me and I was in charge of organizing jobs and scheduling overtime.
