WOOT... insurance rates drop
after a steady incline, i maxed out at $222 a month for full coverage on my 00... dad insisted that i look around because after some mess up at the insurance company they dropped my plan and wanted to reinstate me as a new customer paying $300+ a month...
i looked around just as i did several months ago...
progressive ended up being $184 a month with full coverage, $500 deductible and glass coverage
$38 a month savings!

I suppose now is a bad time to say I'm paying 102 per month for the same coverage?

Yours should have dropped when you turned 21, mine did. I have liability only at $140 a month, better than $355 for full coverage on a Focus, damn 11 points on my license.

$95 a month full coverage on the 99 lesabre.
Allstate, preferred customer. My record is practically spotless (Unless I still have a ticket or two on my record :? )
My collision deductable is $500, my comprehensive is $50 deductable.
I just took the lowest deductable on comprehensive (covers vandalism, fire, theft...) because we live in a crappy area and I know sooner or later some SOB will bust out a window...
I am over 30 years, and male, AND live in Colorado, a high price place for insurance.
When i get to Indiana, my monthy price for this same coverage will run $50 a month or less.
SIDE NOTE - Don't always go looking for ghetto outfits like Titan or Dairyland for cheap insurance. My wife switched from Dairyland (subsidy of Sentry) to allstate and actually got CHEAPER insurance. We won't talk about her sr-22
ALSO - getting deductibles lowered may not cost as much extra as you think. I paid $40 extra for 6 months with the comprehensive set to $50 deduct.
