So even the new water based paints will match with older laquer or acrylic paints :?:

well laquer or acrylic paints are a little different.. you van get the to match often, But its a little harder, simply because the color is right at the top of the paint surface, where as Base/clear only has the color on the bottom, then has Clear on top which will alter the light in the paint and change the color characteristics slightly.
ALL modern paints (base/clear or water base/clear) no matter which company makes them Can be matched by another (with the exception of Camilion colors)

GM is going nowhere any time soon. GM has some very nice vehicles out right now, and some more on the way. G8, CTS, STS, Malibu, Aura, Enclave, Corvette, Acadia, Camaro, are all cars out right now or soon that are getting fantastic reviews from all magazines and auto enthusiasts alike.
Saturn is being re-invented and is doing a great job with new vehicles that people actually want to drive.
Cadillac is being worked over also. Look at their line up and you will see that they do have some great things going for them.
Being taken over by Toyota as the worlds #1 selling automotive manufacturer was probably the best thing that could have happened to GM. It made them realize that they can't just sell "cars". They need great looks, solid reliability, along with cars that their owners can feel passionate about. Looking back at most of the new cars GM has put out in the last two years or so you can see that GM is really starting to do just that.

I agree Ryan. I'm beginning to really like most of what I see coming out of GM lately. They must have stopped listening to those dratted focus groups and begun designing and building the cars they knew they should produce.
