Why do I keep getting collect calls
This started this week on my cell phone. I'm getting calls from inmates in different areas :?
How are these people getting my number?
How do I stop it?
I just re-registered it on the Do Not Call registry. What else can I do?

It sounds like someone wrote your number on the jail house wall. You know, for a good time call...
Maybe you got someone mad at you and that is his or her way of irritating you. My cell phone has a way to block incoming calls from specific numbers. I think the phone company will do the same thing for a home phone.
I have had the same cell phone number for 8 years now. I still get people calling for the last one to have my number, and it'* from the same # over and over. There are a lot of stupid people out there.

I got another this morning around 730am. All calls have been from different jails in my area.
Could a laps in my registration with the Do Not Call registry be the cause of this? I thought that only applied to telemarketers
