I think someone mentioned the heater core was a problem in Chrysler minivans...not sure whether they are old or new ones that had that problem, or if it even was a common problem. All I know is that it'* expensive to fix.
My cousin leases cars all the time, and he'* had a lot of different cars. He replaced the tranny on his Chrysler Town and Country (newer model) at 50,000 miles. Typical Chrysler tranny problem I assumed....however he did lease a new Aurora with the 3.5, and for some reason his tranny went at 5,000 miles (no typo)!!!

Before my dad got the GTP he drove a '96 Grand Caravan. Although it was cheaply built and a lot of the interior "features" didn't work anymore when we sold it, I can tell you that he beat the **** out of that van. He would take off from every stop WOT, and it had over 90k miles on it when we sold it and it still ran as good as it was ever going to, and it had the original trans that seemed to work great. I'd never buy one but we didn't really have any trouble with it.

The Missus and I have a 96 Astro. It'* been a pretty nice truck so far. She'* only 5' 3" and loves driving it. It ain't too bad on gas, and it'* built on a half ton frame.
It'* the vehicle we took to Country Fest last week. 4+ hour round trip on less than 3/4 tank of gas, and it is very comfortable to drive.

we had a Lumina APV that i liked, i think it was a 96, {which ever year(*) that have the same/similar lights as the bonneville} they have a 3.4 engine. I thought it was pretty straight but one day somethin' went wrong with the tranny, and i think a head gasket blew too, water got in, mixed with oil....things just got ugly lol. So its sittin in the yard now....

The Lumina minivans are nice. They're easy on gas, too. They've either got the 3.1 or 3800. Can't go wrong with either one.
I used to own a 93 Safari. It was a real good truck. Sold it 5 years ago with 130K on the clock and had very, very few issues (exhaust, brakes). Ran well. I still wish I hadn't sold it. Plus, that 4.3 is rock solid. It'* simply a 350 5.7 with the last set of cylinders lopped off.
The Aerostars are nice too. My family used to have 2 of them. The 4.0 pushrod is another sure bet. That'* about the only good thing going for those vans! They have a lot of electrical issues, not to mention the rear-ends aren't strong (if you plan on towing or putting out more torque).
