all I have to say is look at RC car batteries. They come in C cell size and there are hundreds of different types in certain voltage ranges. Which would allow you to pick your own mAh(aka how long it lasts)

You can try to "refresh" the batteries. You'll need to pull the battery pack apart and get a disposable camera with a flash.
I'll stop here and pm you the rest of the driections if you wnat.

Frank, the Bosch 14.4V are also pretty expensive. We do use some Dewalt 18V. I found a couple places on ebay where I purchased some for $50 each. About the best I could do. BTW, I see that seller where you lost the auction has more for sale. You might try bidding on another set or contacting him and offering $50 each plus shipping to your preference of U.*. address. I checked the guy I bought mine from and see he'* not offering anything right now.
bandit, I know they are sub-C size, what I don't know is what mAh rating I need... Plus, I'm not sure I want to spend the next two weeks soldering up battery packs. Worth a look though.
Andrew, nice links! The ebay store looks to have the best deals, but I still need to know what mAh rating to use for ours.
Thanks also to all you'se udder guys who listed info and sources.
Cheetah, please do PM me those refresh instructions. I really want to investigate that method. I did find out that it involves a capacitor to "burn out the dendrites" in the cell. I'm very ready to try this method. If it works out, I'll provide my story to all.

I noticed that also Mke, and I have 4 seperate bids on them, unfortunatly 3 of them I have been outbid on. At present, I need to replace about 5 Dewalt 18 Volts as well as 2 - 9.6 V Makita'*. This is going to cost me big time. By the looks of it, the Dewalts on Ebay seem to be going for $50.00 each as you mentioned and even then, I have tofind them.
By the way, "Cheetah, please do PM me those refresh instructions".
Thanks

For the work your going into to "fix" these batteries your better off buying new ones.
Dewalt has a non-stop promotion on thei 18v batteries, two for $120 CDN. At any house of tools up here. For in the states, go to Western Tool Company, they should have the same thing.
As far as Bosch batteries go, if you registered your tool, you get 1yr free replacement of the entire tool no matter what the problem is with next day shipping.
Unconditional Warranty
