I know what you mean, but then again, buying a used car is a hit and miss kind of game, the Alero could be perfect or the Alero could be a lemon, same applies for the Grand Am GT. Ask the dealer if you could take it home for a day and after the motor is warmed up, drive it easily, then hard and give it some real shakedown. That should help ya out. For example my Bonne, I pretty much got a perfect running car, it'* been flawless but I lost my ABS, that'* better than losing the motor.

Just go with what your heart wants.

Well................ I went to the dealer today and................BOUGHT IT! WAHOOOOOO! its so much nicer than the bonneville. IM IN LOVE! *dances* its too powerful for its own damn good, torque steer out the *** in the higher rpm but its worth it, already left tire marks hehehehehehe. and to top it off i just got back from the gas station, and i got 23mpg while beating on it better than the bonneville ever got! i filled her up, drove 70mi ( 69.8 ) and filled up again using 3.019 gallons.

ill get pics of her tomorrow for you guys!

heres the details on it
2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLS Coupe
52K
3.4L V6 (3400 SFI)
A/T

Polished Alloy Wheels
Rear Spoiler
ABS With "Enhanced Traction System" which works well, its already had the LOW TRAC light on a few times tonight
Premium Sound System

Cool, it sounds real nice. I'm glad for you **coughtraitorcough** (Just kidding really )

Seriously, I like those cars, i actually considered a Alero but they were way too small for me. I had zero headroom hence my Bonneville
