The only responsible thing to do with this rebate is to pay down any high-interest debt you have; or, if you have no debts, invest it (what in, don't ask me

70% of americans I think are missing the whole picture.
Its a temporary fix. Period.
I cant belieive how many people think this will actually "fix the economy" :?

however it will go off to pay my debts which i will still have at that point. debt is a bad idea during a recession/depression. Its best to go in with no debt whatsoever. You will be a step ahead most people if thats the case.

Yup. Mine will be going towards bills -no toys on this. It may lead to toys later, but for now, I definitely plan on putting it towards a more comfortable financial future.

im still waiting for one of my damn W2'*
but im hoping for about $400, and it will probably go towards my credit card bill
jake youre good, as long as you dont make over $5000 you will get all of your income tax back
you dont have to file taxes at all if you made under $600.

hmm, i dunno, thats how its always been for me...you dont TECHNICALLY have to file for taxes if you dont owe any money i believe, you just wont get your rebate if you have one coming.
i dunno, maybe some tax gurus will know. but thats how its been for me for the past years.

I've been reading a lot on it, and I haven't found anything that says it'll come out of the following year'* taxes or anything like that. I'd think that would make it into the analysts articles.

I think if you make over 1 million dollars in a year any money after the first million should be taxed at 75%.....not the 40ish or whatever it is right now.
