What a SH***Y DAY!
:?
Coming back to work from lunch today, I got pulled over. Wasn't even speeding for once. Turns out my tags were expired, and I never got notification, or noticed them. My mail gets forwarded away from my house to 2 different addresses before it comes back to my house......divorce complications.
So the Cop (not in the town where I live) checks out my stuff, even SAW the 3 forwarding stickers on the envelope I pulled my insurance out of, and STILL wrote me a ticket after the computer told him I work with the Albany Police.
So I'm on my way to the DMV instead of back to work, so I can renew my tags. Get pulled over by another cop. Car instead of motorcycle this time. This guy obviously isn't gonna write me up, considering where I had just come from and where I was headed, but did tell me he wouldn't have given me the ticket in the first place.
So I get to the DMV.....pull a number......03. They're on 83. At lunch. A two hour wait. They call 84, a guy gets up. They call 85 about 10 minutes later, and nobody gets up. Just about to call 86, so I jumped up like I was 85, got it done, got out of there.
$30 for another year on my tags.
$77 for the infraction.
Being pulled over twice in one day?
Priceless.

That sucks!
I was pulled over 10 days ago by Minnesota'* finest. I somehow forgot ( ) to reinstall my front bracket and plate after my bra was installed a few months ago. The Cop made a U-ie in the middle of traffic and came up behind me to pull me over. He asked me where my front plate was. I told him I thought it was at home somewhere. He said flat out "Well, I'm just gonna give you a warning today." . :P :P :P . He came back in a few minutes with a written warning and told me to have a nice day. Lady luck stricks again!
BTW: that was my 3rd warning on the plate alone. First two were by Minneapolis freakin' parking patrols.

Ah, parking patrols...we have them at school, Ive racked up about $60 in tickets over a 1/2 semester...Ours are funny, they think they have authority. They even put cop lights on top of their sonoma pickup. When would they use those? Chase you down if you missed a ticket?

I flew under the radar for nine days before I renewed. Bill, your tags are only $30.00!?!? Mine run $81.00--almost the cost of your "infraction" and tags together!

no front tags in my state
speaking of parking patrols... there was a kid at my school who racked up $290 in fines for parking in other ppl'* spots, he switched schools cause u can't graduate without paying the fines
there was another kid who racked up $180 for the same thing, he paid up cause he wanted to go to prom...
spots are only $25, and tickets are $10 a pop...
