minimum wage is ment as a base to get started on. the idea is to start and work your way up. my first job i worked at minimum. it wasn't great but it got me by. second and following jobs i worked my way up higher up the 'food chain' and no longer live on minimum

$5.25 here in MN. ..... Yeah, I do struggle a little bit considering my wage at the winery (not as much as you'd expect considering my only benefit is drinking on the job -required) so I picked up a part time job which pays 9.00/hr and that is also 65 miles round trip.
