What happened?
Been here just a bit, but with over a hundred thousand threads and a million posts this place is like a ghost town?
I joined to gather some info on a pickup I was buying but nobody seems to ever be here?
I don't do facebook, twitter or any of the other yuppie sites and have no desire too.
To me socializing isn't in front of a computer. Computers are for informational purposes to me.
Anyway I was just wondering if Clint Eastwood rode through town, shot everyone and forgot to turn the lights off.

Years ago(I think 10), this forum used to be www.bonnevilleforum.com. We had hundreds of DAILY active members here and we averaged about a 100 new posts every day. Then one day, this huge internet company called INTERNET BRANDS, swooped in and bought this forum from the owner. Then they rebranded the forum to what you see now.
Not too long after that, the bonneville popularity started dropping. So, that caused active members to move on to bigger and better things. Now with this whole site being brand wide, no one wants to sit around and do projects anymore or make new friends. They just want to get information for whats wrong with their car and then never come back.
I've been here for 18 years and seen many staff and good folks come and go. All because it was rebranded.

Whoever owns this place does not care. They do not have the very basic things in place to make it easy for people to find. The meta tags on the splash page and all other pages are non existent.

I haven't been here as long as others, but yeah it seems like a ghost town here. I'm on other forums where we consistently see more posts every single day. One of them has more new members per day than gmforum has total posts per day. Reading through a lot of the history here I can see what it once was.

Then you got the sponsors that post ads in a specific section. Like, we can find the same part/items far cheaper everywhere else dude.
