What does your hometown do for the Holidays?
I'd like to share with you all some pictures of the events that happen in my home town durring Christmas. Here are a couple pictures of the court house in my home town of Hallettsville, Texas, and "The Tour of Homes" in Moultin Texas. We have "The Festival of Lights" every year durring the holidays. GVEC & Colarado Valley Electric Co-Op. Love this time of year.
Please feel free to post any holiday photos from your hometown events!!!

i live in such a small town and its mostly retirees (did i spell that right... oh well) so i don't see a whole lot of lights... can't blame em though. i wouldn't be getting out in the cold to put up lights if i didn't have to.
BUT... i can't wait to drive down to the city somewhat and look at their displays... (like grosse point area...)

There'* all kinds of stuff going on around my hometown. The city is huge.
As for the entire area though, the county puts on a light show down Hines Dr. every year that goes for miles and miles through multiple cities.

mankato has two one way streets that are TOTALLY decked out with lights... about 10 blocks, and EVERY house has lights... i remember when my parents would take me there as a kid (1 hour drive) just to see the lights... i remember it being so cool....it has lost its effect though...
in madelia where i work, they have a holiday parade, YES PARADE IN DECEMBER.... i posted about it last year, our business was dressed up as elves and i posted pics...anyone care to find them?
i used to put up lights in my room every year as a kid... lost that spirit too...
*maybe ill do that tonight*...doubt it
