You could tune the car leaner and run more timing, hell run E85 and go nuts with timing and get that 15% economy loss back on the cheaper fuel.

Woah gotta watch going leaner, leaner = easier to pop a piston

there is some things you can do to tune for milage but for the $100 to unlock the car you probably won't break even

If I still had a DHP tuner where you don't have to pay for credits then you aren't out anything

Tuning is a art, everyone is a little different. Lean is better, but produces more KR, so you loose timing, and then loose power. So balance. Supercharged engines run about 11.7:1 AFR at WOT. Any richer and you loose power, any leaner and you get KR, and loose power. You can add timing on cruise for better mileage because you can run a bit leaner. But your just not going to recover the investment that way.

Trent and I will have some new toys to play with this weekend. I plan on learning everything I can about HPTuner.

Finally got a tuner thanks to a tip on a good deal. Trent and I spent all of Friday night and into the morning, and then most of Saturday getting my car put back together and drivable, then we started tuning. I was way off in the VE tables, the highest I saw was 20 and the lowest was -8. We've got that down to being almost perfect, although I remember seeing some numbers that were off a bit in the higher ranges. Sounds like Trent probably spent most of the night tuning his car tonight. More tuning to come after I get my car back for good next week, and possibly some great tools and tips to come from Trent once we get a bit more testing in.

The reason I have iTunes open is because we were tuning the engine AND the sound system, so we needed some different music.
