I'm really thinking about making a set of train horns from scratch.. It would be much cheaper than buying a set online, and it'll be a lot more fun.

lol. its a fairly long story. sitting at work yesterday a customer said he needed to get a handsfree system before next year. i asked him why, and he said my county and the county where my work is are both doing the no touch cellphone law starting Jan 1,2014.
i figured it was pretty dumb to buy a $200 bluetooth kit to avoid a $150 ticket. so i went to $5 below, got a headset and tore apart an old xbox 360 a/v cord and you have the end result. ive already tested it on my tv to make sure it works, and it works beautifully. $200 fix for $5. plus, my el cheapo headset has a button designed to pick up and decline calls which also activates the samsung version of SIRI. so i can call whoever or play any music on my phone by pressing one button.

You can get a aftermarket radio with it built in for a about a hundred, or cheaper if you buy Chinese. i got a more expensive one but i think they all answer the phone and play music, etc. i think they have that law here too

Yeah that would be a good option from stock, but I've already got a nice head unit. Pioneer avh-p2300dvd. Fits in the dash perfect and even has color matched buttons. Does everything I want apart from the bluetooth
