sort of a rant more than anything but the monte has 75k and needs both front wheel bearings. so its not bad enough they put junk bearings on it, they still put the bolts on the wrong side so you have to fight the cv, ended up breaking a socket. and frustrated enough to wait till tomorrow to try the other side. my 98 bonnie had bearings that lasted like 150k and had a hole in the thing so you could put a bolt in the front, talk about common sense escaping these engineers
i got a ton of angry looks from the staff in the gated community i was staying at. lol

Sorry, no edit. Been that way for a long time. We prefer that you just make another post showing the correction. We don't care about typos and what not. But if you mistakenly say 5.7 Gen1 vs saying 5.3 Gen2, make another post with the correct version. There are other reasons why we removed the edit feature, but I won't share them here.

i have actually had good luck with just buying whats cheap from rock auto. i am just aggravated they can make the stock ones in the 90'* last 150k and the monte, old monte, my moms 03 imp all needed bearings before 100 k. sometimes the cheap Chinese ones last longer than that

I'll clue you into another reason, we have had past Gearheads go back and edit there posts to remove good technical info all because they got hot headed or pissed off at staff.

Mike, That is the norm now on most forums ..however....
You can still make it so that you can edit within 5 or ten minutes lets say..
and make correction etc within that time frame, making this forum more author friendly!
Please consider this ASAP, many in here would appreciate this necessary feature.
