im tempted to put my car on the market or try to trade it for a truck. it seems like every paycheck im replacing something or repairing something. in just the past 2 months ive replaced the front struts, fixed the bladders in the rear struts, done the tie rod ends, sway bar end links replaced my battery with another optima at a pro-rated price, and now the alternator is hanging out around 13.3 volts and drops to 12.0 when i put it in reverse. im at a point where ive replaced almost every commonly breaking part but im also afraid its a never ending beast. i dont know whether or not to keep dropping money in a car with almost 170k on the clock.

All people do out where I live is talk crap about my truck idk if its jealousy or just ignorance but they start hating on me if I don't race their pile of crap blazers and beater trucks it'* annoying. Basically if I don't beat in my truck and wreck it every weekend I'm a big sissy So I just stick to myself and spend my time doing mods.

If you are paying someone to do all these repairs I can see your concern. If you are doing them yourself and just paying for parts, think about what the costs of parts are versus a car payment. I don't think a week goes by that I don't fix something on my Bonneville, but I am spending maybe $50 per month (average) and that is a lot lower than a new car payment.

I had this faded piece of trim that was bugging me. I took some black to black to it and that really seems to help.

I ran around with my mom to body shops to get estimates today. Yesterday, when my mom went to pick up my niece from school, some idiot wasn't paying attention in the parking lot, and backed right into my mom'* truck. There'* a huge dent in the front passenger door. We went to Collision One (about $1300) and Sumner Collision ($972, and this shop was where my dad took his Camaro to for the body kit). Now, she just needs to contact our insurance and go from there (they wanted an estimate before really doing anything).
