What a day at the hospital
Went into the hospital today for some day surgery (gastroscopy). They won't let you drive home after this procedure so you have to have someone drive you. The hubby goes with me and as i register they inform us that he can't come in and wait with me. I'm in a room by my self from 830am til 1030am (you have to be there 2 hours before) Anyways the hubby goes for a drive while he waits for me. I wake up from the sedation to be informed that my husband is in the emergency room of the same hospital and not doing too good. They tell me he'* in a lot of pain and won't beable to drive me home. Me thinking the worst he'* been in a accident turns out to be a KIDNEY STONE. They wheel me over to see him, and man he'* in a lot of pain. They've got him on Gravol, Morphine, and other drugs. They can't see anything on the ultrasound so they do a CT Scan and bam! there it is a 3mm stone almost 1/8 of a inch The hospital staff won't let me stay with him because i'm still under sedation, so i get my daughter to sit with her dad get my dad to come get me take me to my car (shhh i know your not sopose to drive after ) Drive home to get some sleep for work tonight and the hubby just get'* home with a appointment to see a specialist to have it removed because they think it'* blocking one of his kidneys. I must say this has been one big Adventure for a Monday. A 3mm stone must be the size of a brick to most men... I feel for you guys
