well i went to the junkyard, snagged the front rotors and caliper brackets off a 2001 Impala LS, which was supposedly a one point in its life a police car...
so now ive got myself some fancy 12 inch rotors tucked beneath my wheels....erm well i have one, ill do the other one tomorrow and then ill take her for a spin!
heres some pics:

stock 11 incher on the left, junkyard gem on the right, after having it turned.

the finished installation on the right side...i have no idea why part of the bracket is red, but i may have to do something about that.

got 'er done!...a fellow Intrigue owner said he did this mod, or the 200 dollar GM version of it, and had about 1/4 inch clearance on his wheels(he had the same ones i do)...i thought to myself "yeah right"...but there is barely a 1/4 inch of clearance, BUT it does fit thats all that counts.

i would have to assume that the braking setups on a W body are completely different from an H body, BUT i did cal a GM dealer and gave them the part # of the caliper bracket and he said that it appeared on several cars, he included the Bonnevlle and Aurora in cars he mentioned? My advice would be to attempt to find a part # for the mounting bracket on a Bonneville, see what other it came on, and see if any of those cars were ever offered with a performance brake package or larger stock rotors.
but why would gmpartsdirect have so far different information than the GM dealer?
the rotors are on a buttload of cars so theyre a cinch to find, what i shouldve done is check out their selections of Firebirds and Camaros and seen if they had a junker with performance rotors.
