Canadian Indie-rock. A lot of it, such as Metric, Stars, Feist, Broken Social Scene, Tegan and Sara, etc, is becoming more popularized/mainstream, however. Also - Dallas Green (City and Colour), Alexisonfire, Magneta Lane.
Not completely indie due to their popularization here in Canada, but not household names, either.

Moonspell, Opera singing to metal.
Otherwise I don't get too crazy. Mindless Self Indulgence is about as the weirdest stuff I listen to. Screaming Mechanical Brain(formerly known as Screaming Monkey Boner) is playing here in 'Kato on Saturday, they have some odd songs.

I've only went to a couple shows back when I was in H.*. Probably should go more but I'm usually off doing other things like riding (bmx) or something. Plus there are alot of kids that take being scene way to seriously like they have something to proove or something. I like to avoid those types.
If you come out to philly in the summer I won't feel as much a weirdo for my cd collection.

I listen to alot of "Drum & Bass" or something like it....I.E., Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, Tosca, all ninja tune labels. Also I like some hardcore....Throwdown rocks.....have u heard their "Sir mix-alot remix...Baby got Back" It'* awsome!! Grunge is awsome too....what'* left of it anyway
