I have 1100 or so as it stands, all 192KBPS.

I mean perfect quality, every song in the album, all the IDv3 information is identical to every song.

then theres the unsorted songs or incomplete albums

i'd love to have some more dvds ripped though

you need to convert to a lower bitrate, that'll free some space up. Maybe invest in a Creative Zen Vision-M, like I did!

I remember buying "records" on vinyl.....

My network manager has this system at home... It'* incredable. Did you also see that Netgear is makeing a home/small business SAN. A digital music collection is a terrible thing to lose!

why a lower bit rate? doesn;t sound as good. and trust me i can here the diffrence between 128kb and 192kb..

Right, but you should back that archive up. The sweet deal with the SAN is redundancy.
