Sad to hear he has cancer Kevin. Glad to hear the cause has been found and a treatment can be started. Huey is one lucky pet to have an owner that can put that kind of treatment cost into his budget.

Pearl, stop being so optimistic about Bill'* cats. Barney ate them. He watched to many Alf re-runs.

Default Huey'* Home

Huey'* home from the Vet!!

His oncologist re-evaluated his diseases and believe he actually at stage 3 rather than stage 5. She said she already is seeing signs of remission after two chemo therapy treatments.

He'* already shredded a new toy, hunted some cats and ate since being home. He'* now taking one of his many mastiff naps that occur off and on throughout the day.

He'* got 25 more weeks of treatment and blood work from this point forward, but I made a commitment to the big guy!

I'm pretty pleased and in a much better and lighter mood now.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement and concern.

Default A Very Sad Day!

On top of this...my Mom was rushed to the hospital this morning and underwent emergency surgery for diverticulitis and a colostomy.

Needless to say....I'm not doing very well today.

So sorry to hear Huey didnt take well to the chemo Kevin. Diane says to tell you she'* feeling sad about it as well. You did the right thing. Better to end the pain than let him go on with the agony of that kind of cancer. We hope your Mom comes out of this OK. Will the colostomy be able to be reversed? You are both in our Prayers.
