The 95'* only had problems with a shift solenoid. They aren't any more prone to failing than any other year 80E. There was a dealer TSB out for the problem and most have been fixed by now.

To bad. You know, find any Classic and go for a test drive for chits and giggles. Its a wonderful car. If you like the look, whats stopping you from just going for a cruise. You wont be the only one, I've lost count of how many Bonneville owners now have Auroras.
