travelling
I probably won't be on too much this week. I am travelling for work and am in Iwakura Japan. So far all I have see is airports, hotels and conference rooms, but if I see anything interesting I will snap a few pics.
Very interesting seeing the differences in social behavious here.

Have a good trip. If you fly out of Narita and have a lot of time to kill, take the airport train to the town Narita and visit the temple. A nice walk before a 12 hour flight.

I fly in and out of Nagoya. I finish up at the plant at noon on Friday and don't fly out until Saturday around noon, so I am staying in Nagoya Friday night. Hope to see some of the city.
Funny thing is I fly out at noon on Saturday, and arrive in Detroit at 10:00 AM Saturday morning, 2 hours earlier than I leave. 12 hour flight, but I pick up 14 hours in time changes.

Its about 45 *F today, so a little warmer than home. But not much. Coming here yesterday was a 14 hour flight to Seoul Korea, a 3 hour layover, then a 2 hour flight to Nagoya. Another hour on trains to get to where I am staying.
Not fun.
Going home I have a direct flight, so its only 12 hours.

I agree Roy, it is a culture shock being in different countries. Canada isn't so bad, but when I was in *. Korea for a year, now that'* DIFFERENT!
I once landed in Japan on the way back to Korea, I don't remember much. Maybe it was too much booze. On long flights, I need to sleep so I sometimes hit the hard stuff at the beginning of a flight.
If you ever get the chance, try to visit a war torn country like Bosnia. Very nice country and the folks are really nice.
PICS or it didn't happen.

I am staying in an industrial area, so really haven't seen any sights that are worth taking pictures of. Just to respond to Mike'* challenge for pictures ...
Nissan Skyline, available only in Japan:

Rice, rice, and more rice:

The guy in the background was plant security running over to tell me I can't take pictures without authorization. He was very quickly informed by my interpreter I can do whatever the *&^% I want. He left.
Finally, by necessity my aim has improved significantly over the past few days:

Actually the Skylines have a HUGE following in New Zealand as well. I remember when I went there, the building next to the hotel was hosting some sort of Forum meeting and it was raining skylines.
