Transmission inspection?
Is there such a thing as a transmission inspection? I'm not having any trans problems, but I was wondering if the trans is something a mechanic at a transmission shop can visually check and shift to make sure nothing is wrong that could cause problems in the future.
Also have any of you used Lucas Transmission Fix it seems like a pretty good investment

I have heard conflicting stories on Lucas. But no amount of additives can magically fix a transmission.
The only way to get the transmission "inspected" , and I mean the "full cavity search" type, is to get it rebuilt. Seriously. At least in my area, a trans shop will tear down and inspect all hard parts for free. But they figure that since the trans is torn down, you are going to have to pay to put it all back together, so that is where they get ya.
What is it doing...or not doing??
