For future reference.... In addition to swimmer'* ear product, my store carries a product called Auro-Dry, I believe. Similar to Swimmer'* Ear, if you can't find it.

thanks for the replies. it feels fine now. i should clarify, it only hurt earlier because i was pushing the cartlidge (sp) around a lot trying to create suction.

as for going to a doctor, i dont have health insurance. you want to pay the bill?

While I've never had an ear infection(knock on wood), I had a clogged eustachian tube earlier this year. It'* the tube that runs from the middle ear to the back of the throat. Well, this started up while I was on the way back from a load to California(when I saw Rod out in Sacramento), so you can imagine that I went through a lot of elevation changes on the way. Well, you know how your ears pop when you change elevation? Imagine having that happen while the tube that allows the pressure to equalize is blocked. It felt like someone trying to shove a broken marble through the side of my head. A couple of times it was so bad I actually had to pull off the road and sit there for a few minutes trying not to scream. Ladies, imagine giving birth through the ear, and you get close. And that happened about every ten miles. Thank God it didn't start while I was in the mountains. And, of course, I couldn't hear out of that ear, because of the pressure from behind the ear drum. I had to stop early the night after it started, and I decided if it wasn't at least somewhat better by morning, I was going to the nearest hospital. Fortunately, it cleared up a little, but it was like that for almost a week.

Jeff - Glad to hear you are feeling better... but for next time it might be a good idea to look into your healthcare options now. Check with local hospitals to see if they run clinics where are low or no cost. Also, you can check with you state'* division of health and human services... they should have a TON of information on how you can get medical attention despite not having insurance. It will be beneficial for you to know your care options BEFORE you get sick.
