Thank you, bonnevilleclub
brother was on his way over this last saturday in his 96 Bonneville SE. he called me at about 3 or 4 for a ride. apparently his water pump seized while he was driving it. he had it towed to my house and we embarked on the fun process of replacing the water pump. [ironically, after he bought a new pump, i noticed someone here was selling one]. got all of the bolts out except one, which, if youve done this before on, you know is blocked in by the power steering pump. he had left his chilton manual [that i bought when i owned the car] at his house, so he asked me "do you have access to a manual or something online?" to which i replied, "ive got better. be right back" came on bonnevilleclub, utilized the search function, and within a couple minutes had found out how to remove the PS pump and what to be careful of.
his car is out of my garage as of last night [i worked a lot -- 50 hr workweek this week combined with fulltime school]], no damage done.
so thank you bonnevilleclub.
