You missed a whole buncha nothing, you'll never see it, and you'll never see us do that. I'd like to thank Bill for taking the time to run this site, and all things that come with it (some of which was personal). He doesn't have to do this, he doesn't get paid, but he does it better then anyone could, and puts up with A LOT.

I remember running a forum with 25 members, and that was quite a challenge keeping them in line.

I give lots of credit to the mods and admins here supporting over a 1000 members.

As many of you know, I now drive a 2003 Monte Carlo. But I am still here and that'* because I've been targeted in one of these "battles" and everyone here backed me. This "war" will stop sooner or later and the work that is done behind the scenes on all the forums will be appreciated like it is here. I do go to some of the Monte forums, but this is the one I choose to call home. Good work everyone!

As someone from the "other board" id like to add my 2cents. I come here in no way to restart anything or to flame but to state a theory that i have about most car forums that i visit.

There are probably 3 or 4 forums i visit on a regular basis. and the following applies to all of the forums that dont really moderate their lounges. When the "other automobile" first was introduces in '97 in general the majority of the people that can afford it were in there mid 20'* and above. Hence you didn'nt really have any 16, 17, 18, etc. posting on the boards. The maturity level was there and i used to post on quite a regular basis. Nowadays however there is an influx of younger board members, lowering the maturity level of most boards to the level of a 17 year old. hell you can pick up a 97 GTP for under 10K, You can pick up a used VR4 in the low 10k area (yes they are out there).

Now I'm not saying that having all these young kids on the boards is necessarilly a bad thing cause they basicly drive the market nowadays for aftermarket support for these cars. Hell try and get a reprogammed PCM 5 years ago and you would be paying out of your rear.

I rarely post on most forums I mostly read, and honestly i did get a chuckle over the the past few day'* events, but i respect what you guys have going on here so i didnt do anything to fan the flames. But as SSEI'* become more and more affordable i fear that mods here are going to have there hands full in the future as more of your memberlist gets to be in the teens. The nature of the internet makes it unavoidable.

I wish you guys the best of luck, i know i wouldnt mind my kids reading this board.

I gotta agree. All the other forums I have read, seem to be lacking the maturity this one has maintianed, and just turn into flame wars.

I love the fact you can come in here, kid around with people, poke a few ribs, and still get help with anything you need without being made to feel like an idiot.

And I saw some of the "excitement" and thought it was handled very well. If I were a Mod or Admin, I can't swear I'd have stayed as cool while someone was causiing problems in my house. I don't think I'd have been able to give as many warnings and what not, under the circumstances. It may have been more like "Stop it! No? Well then, buh-bye..."

Our Admins and Mods may have a challenge as more people find this place, but I for one plan to stick it out and help as much as I can. Too many people here I've never met and still consider friends to do otherwise!

The maturity level is higher here than in any other car forum. I think this is because we have a lot of members that are mature, be they young, or old. The admins and mods set a good example. Also once again I think it is the type of car that we have, it is more of a laid back easy to use rocket. Thats just my 2 (or 3) cents.

my2cents,

I appreciate you taking the time to come over for a visit and share your thoughts. I fully understand your reasoning, but if ever there was an internet forum that MIGHT have a chance to pull it off, this is the place. We've got a great list of members to set the pace.
