I bought a '94 Cutlasss Supreme w/ the 3100 in 2004 with 48,000 miles at the time. I drove it 20,000 miles in 10 months, and drove it hard. Never had problems. Definitely keep an eye on it though. Congrats on the new ride!

He'* got enough to bury him and pay off his tools...at least with him working in the bad part of Rockford, as crappy as that car looks now, we won't have to worry about someone stealing it. Well, if they do, I think they need it worse than we do. Poor Neon...

Not a Bad choice Christine..
3100 in a W body, with the 4T60-E with the 3.33 Gearing... Makes for a very driveable GM V6 4 door sedan

Sister of a friend has one of those. She'* literally beat the living h*ll out of it, and still fires up first lick and gets her around without a problem.

I just unloaded a 96 monte carlo for my Bonne, was a great car. Drive it at about 68 mph, keep the tach below 2500 rpm and you will get 33 miles to the gallon on the highway.
They are great cars I have a friend who barrel rolled one and walked away, then bought another one. That'* when I bought my Monte because in 96 they were the basically the same car.
Some things to watch for. Pull the two support braces under the hood and get access to the fuse boxes. Spray the crap out of them with silicone or something to keep the water out as the luminas have problems with those fuse boxes and rotted connections.
I have connections at a salvage yard and when my buddy and I changed his motor (it died from too much heat as his gauges were not working due to the wiring issue) We went to the yard and it took us 12 luminas to find one with a good wiring harness to rewire his lumina. He has the LTZ.
I would still own mine had the tranny and engine not sprung leaks, both in the same week.
And what a find for the mileage.
