Default Terrible Tragedy

A horrible thing has happened in our little town of Houston this week. A friend of mine,(Grace) a lady whom I admire and love, and was one of the first ladies to accept me into town and make me a friend, has suffered a terrible loss. Her older brother, has killed his wife and killed himself.
They had been married 20 years and were going through some tough stuff. And on Sunday night, he had come to a decision.
I live 4 doors away from this couple and I was reading a book looking out my big window and saw my friend'* husband(Brendan) go to the house and come running out and then police swarming the area.
I watched with fascination as all the police entered the house and wondering why Brendan'* truck door was wide open. I was not aware anything was terribly wrong until Grace'* daughter came to the door, and started to cry. I brought her into my house and we had a cuddle and a talk, and then Little Jess, being the good friend that she is, took this little child, into her room and just sat with her for about an hour and let her cry.
I just got home now from Grace'* house, a few of her friends got together and cleaned her house and made sure they would have everything they would need, so they would not need to run to the store and have to face questions.
I held Grace in my arms and let her cry. I don't know what I would do in this kind of situation, and I feel horrible for this family.

Please all, keep this famliy in your thoughts and prayers.

PMom that is awful. We all think we have our own problems but they seem so miniscule when compared to something like this. How terrible for the family left behind. Why do things like this have to happen? Things will always get better at some point, nothing is written in stone. I will definately pray for this family and their friends. What a tragedy. Life is too short as it is and we can always try to do something to better our situation. I pray the Lord will bless the child and keep her and the rest of the family safe in His arms!

Really puts alot of things into perspective. I guess when we can get through even seemingly unsurmountably desperate situations in our lives, we're another step ahead...

Really sad.

I never know quite what to say when I hear about these types of things...

I'll keep your friend and her daughter in my thoughts.
I'm glad that they had a friend like you to come to.
