well, im back. it appears i was just needed as a witness. he lost, he is appealing. from what i have heard, he had to pay the deductable on his girlfriends truck of $500, which indicates that the damage done by a little tempo was over $500.

and by the way sqela, its a tempo, not an escort. and we are talking about a 21 year old car. generally the age where reliability can come into question at any time.

Escort, tempo very similar. Did the insurance company ask about realiabilty? They asked me like 9 million questions for a car not even 5 yrs old. So I can't even imagine for a 21 yr old car

nope, it was very painless actually. i came in contact with the insurance company the day the accident occured <we both used the same company. same was the case with the bonneville wreck too. wierd>. they started up my case. after a while, i got the police report. faxed it to them. they already had another case going on his end for me. we joined the cases together. i took my car down. got the estimate. got the check within the week, no questions asked. they shelled out $830 without a second thought, or even a first thought of totalling the car out. kinda weird if you ask me.

man thats a good company, my friend has a 91 grand prix with 76k on it in MINT condition and was rammed by a minivan in the passenger rear side, broke the wheel off with the axle and everything, it was totaled out but they decided to buy it back and fix it its a nice car imo, how dare they try and total a 76k car, consider yourself lucky that u got anything out of the insurance company (gotta love those bumpers, theyll stand up to anything compared to todays bumpers)

MUAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! I do, i really do! i can bump into poles with out thinking twice, infact, there was even one time that i pushed around a shopping cart basket in the middle of the night in the parking lot. Note for all: shopping carts get squirly after 20 MPH.
