Suspense is killing me
I had my heads ordered to a friends house since theres usually someone home there. He just called me to tell me the post office called him up and said there is a really heavy single box there and to pick it up after 3pm. It'* got my name on it too.
He said that he'll pick it up for me cause i'm defintely not going to make it to the post office in time. I told him to rip it open as soon as he gets it and tell me what it is.
If it'* my heads i'm gonna be sooooooooo happy. I'm driving mama duke'* car right now cause of my leaky oil situation.
I really can't wait another 4 hours!!!

I know it'* like reverse engineering, but measure diameters of ports, measure the displacement of each port if you can (with liquid and a syringe), measure all that good stuff. I'm not going to go running off and market my own heads based on their designs, but I want to see how close me and Doug got with our "Poor Man'* P&P." See if you can measure just about everything they may have changed!
Also, did you have them deck the heads for higher CR? If so, how much did you take off?

I can however take pics to compare with the heads i have now to the MMS heads.
You'll be able to see how big the ports are in reation to the head..
As for the milling,
I had them take the minimal amount of material to make them flat. I decided not to raise the compression ratio.
In the past i've had problems with KR once things get warmed up. I know that replacing the heads and installing them more carefully could take care of that condition. And i also know that a higher compression ratio could make things worse if the condition continues after the install. So i figured it'* not worth the risk. I'll just have everything flowing real nice which is a KR killer.

I hear ya, man. I apologize, I realize I asked you to do something pretty unethical.
I certainly don't intend to steal their technology... I guess I'm just curious about how my handmade P&P compares to professional work. We have no idea what we're doing! However, it'* only fair to figure it out on our own, instead of copying other designs. Thanks for setting me straight.
I hope they work well for you and kill your KR problem. Maybe you can do a dyno run after the install? Also, I would LOVE to see some timeslips from that beast in the near future. Keep us (or at least me) thoroughly updated on this project!

I'm glad you took it so well.
I totally understand your intentions w/ your poor man'* P&P.
Thanks for rooting for me too.
I hope everything works out with the rebuild too. I'm being ultra careful.
