Does it say anything else as far as what type of Boot error? Something may be missing in the Autoexec.bat file which is usually where a program is told to startup.

ok well no they do not have a repair partition but they gave me a recovery CD and i used that and thought that would clear it all up, but guess what..it didn't. So now i am taking it over to Neenah to get it fixed under warranty...
About the error...i know it is very vague...i actually repair computers...believe it or not, that is what i do, and i can't even figure it out...
All it says is: BOOT ERROR!
PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT...
and you press any key and it just repeats the message...
Like I said, OS has been rocovered and it still does it, which makes me think it is a BIOS thing...almost too likely...it really could not be anything else as the HD was totally blanked and everything re-installed...so yeah...HELP!!

Working on Laptops sucks (I'm A+ and all that too). With a "normal" computer, you grab the drive, through it in a working machine, and dink around with it from there. Unless you have the adaptor, it ain't that easy with a 2.5" drive.....

Good luck, WJ. Unfortunately, without being to actually kick the.. I mean see the computer, it'* hard to help. At least you got that warranty to fall back on.
