still getting kicked off my own secure wireless internt.
WTF.??????? what gives....??????????
this is really getting me fed up.. i honstly cant stay connected to my own password secure wireless internet for more thn 15-20 minutes at a time.. i get kickd off and cant reconnect unless i get up and unplug the main modem and recycle the connection.
i switched wireless router 4 times with others i have i even switched internet providers and still have the same problem.. right now i have rcn high speed with a 20 meg modem.
i changed my password 20 times and still the same issue... i am getting really fed up with this.. especially when i go to myspace.com i get kickd off in 2-3 minutes tops..
i dont know what else to do but ask for help here.. i even switched to mozilla firefox and still no change...
could it be something with settings on my computer.? and what settings would it be..
com'on i know there is a ton of computer nerds out there with some advice... thanks

What is yoru signal strength. My first thought is low strength or interference. I will drop connection if I'm to far from my router. Are you running vista? If so, upgrade to SP1. Although when I did that, my computer would not connect to the wireless network at startup. I had to manually connect. The only way I could fix it was to roll back the driver.

many access points/routers have an option to change channels. Play around with this. I used to have a similar problem. It turned out everytime my roommate used his cordless phone, microwave, or garage door opener my connection died. Also is this a laptop? I had two Dell laptops that would drop the connection if they were flexed a little (just sitting on my lap). There was a small short in the motherboards that caused this.
