Sore throat remedies
#21
Tylenol Sore Throat worked wonders for me a month or two ago when my throat got sore. It cools so nicely on the throat, and really helps instantly, and lasts a good while too.
That, some tea, tons of cough drops, and ice cream will nail it.

Well, I did a lot of the things suggested in this thread and feel a lot better. I'm back at work today. Here'* what I did (in not particular order):
Took plenty of Nyquil and Dayquil (not at the same time)
Took Tylenol cold medicine (the liquid stuff)
Spent a solid 45 minutes in our hot tub
Took a 1 hour nap
Went to bed early and slept in
Ate at least a dozen cough drops
Ate 3 bowls of chicken noodle soup
Gargled mouth wash
My throat isn't really sore any more, but my voice is still a little strained.
I said going to the doctor wasn't an option because my wife and I don't have insurance right now. I got a new job and the new insurance doesn't start until August 1st. I could go if I had to, but all expenses would be out of pocket.

I didn't see anywhere where you stood on your head while gargling warm chicken soup with a shot of tequila and cherry cough drops up your nose and an old smelly sock with a clove of garlic in it, soaked in warm salt water, wrapped around your throat.
:P
Oh, and for Ryan, Smith Bros. Cherry cough drops have been around probably longer than both you and I have been alive. They're just not advertised.
Oh and Mark...glad you're feeling a bit better.
