IIRC, those monitors were sourced from Sony...Trinitrons too
I have seen a few of them at the junkyard here, but I wouldn't trust them.
Also, how the hell is the stereo run? Were new wires run for the stereo or was it a cut-n-splice job?

btw, i pulled the intsrument panel today and sprayed down the connectors with CRC QD cleaner and reinstalled it - still didn't work. then after work tonight i started up the car and what do you know, all of the gauges, lights and DIC work in the intsrument panel and the VIC is back to working like normal. i figure there must be some intermittent problem inside the cluster. hopefully it keeps working but i'm doubting it. i finally got to play around with the VIC though - that thing is pretty freaking cool

Some guy dropped an L67 and put a 5 Speed in. Granted, TS'* is a 92 and the one above is an 88, still might be useful.

unfortunately the instrument panel is back to not working this morning, and once again no VIC i'm going to send the instrument panel out to be refurbished next payday and hopefully won't have to deal with that problem anymore.
definately not doing the Getrag 5-speed swap to this car, i want to keep this one automatic. i might eventually do an Series I (or II) L67 engine swap or hell, even turbocharge the L27! but to be honest i'll probably make my Regal GS the 'fast' car and just leave this one stock. i mostly just want to make it nice looking again inside/out; a nice highway cruiser that gets good gas mileage. although like i mentioned earlier, this thing outhandles and out brakes my Regal GS big time!! the Regal is practically scary to drive compared to the Trofeo on tight/fast corners and panic stops.
