It boils down this way...
91-96 Park Ave was a C-body a lengthened version of the H-body. Very few differences. They made the switch to the Series 2 at the same time as the H-body, but in 97, the Park Ave was a completely new car, and made the switch to the G-body(my VIN says 1G----------)Then in 2000, the Aurora, which was a G-body to start with, was redesigned, and the Bonneville and LeSabre joined it on the G-body platform. However, the Bonnie and LeSabre retained the "H" VIN body code.
If you look under a 2000+ Bonneville, you will find the same suspension, and a very similar subframe and floorpan. I can take any suspension piece from a Bonnie, or a LeSabre and swap it right over to my car. I can use all the engine mounts. I believe I can even use the subframe.
BTW, the old C-body PA was even closer to the Bonnie. Almost every non-cosmetic piece was exactly the same, except for the full air suspension.
Trust me John, I know where from I speak...one of the major mods I want to do (money permitting) is swap in a GXP suspension. All the important measurements are EXACTLY the same...
Example of 1998 Park Avenue VIN
1G4CU5217W4612410 - 4th digit is still a C.
And yeah, I know the similarities, I had a 90 Electra...also a C body, but you can't tell it apart from a 90 LeSabre. But you STILL have a C body technically. Thats all I'm sayin. I have no idea why GM couldn't have just made it simple and just announce the change instead of calling it "the same thing"

May as well add my name to the list. Had a '93 SE for a long time, but she was starting to die, which gave me the perfect excuse to buy a new toy, as seen in the siggy. Will probably never own a bonnie again (even though it contradicts the sig), but mine was great while I had her .
