Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

So I got pulled over last night....

Venting is one thing...calling the cop names for enforcing a law is another. Yeah, we let people vent before but I can't recall any time we've let someone off the hook for not sucking up and dealing with something which they knowingly did.

Default red & blue

Another bad item to have is a chrystal dangling from your rear-view mirror. The sunlight doppler shift flashes red and blue.

What PJ said x2.

I take it this means when you become a cop you will look the other way at situations like driving around with illegal lights?
Good luck with the Air Force and becoming a cop.... (no sarcasm intended)

Check your state regulations. Here'* a useful site for MN. http://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/stats/169/
The cop was just doing his job. If you don't want to get pulled over, don't do anything to attract the attention of law enforcement. That'* my rule.

Then I must not be a typical American. :?

Yes, some cops can come across as dicks, and that'* sad that a run in with one causes some to stereo type all officers as such.
The way I see it they're just doing their job.Yes sometimes it may seem like they pull you over for the stupidest things, but some very dangerous people have been caught because they got pulled over for "stupid" things.
I drive a truck for a living, the last thing I want to see is DOT or Highway Enforcement standing on the side of the road, but all police are just trying to make things a bit safer and most of the ones I've met have been decent guys (and women). Do some seem to have chip on their shoulder? Yes. Do I think they "suck"? No.

The cop was doing his job, and you do have every right to complain. I didn't see anything that resembled severe 'cop bashing'.

Just for the record ... I had to delete certain posts that would have made things very hostile around here. Discuss, but keep things clean as they are right now.
