Snowed.. out?
A typical Friday evening here.. my mom is off with her boyfriend, I am stuck here.. doing nothing. At about 10 I looked out the window to see how much snow we got [we were expecting a lot of snow this evening]. So, I called her, telling her we had a lot of snow, the plows hadn't come yet, and it'* coming down pretty bad. She ignored my warnings, and decided that she'll wade it out. Well, about 15 minutes ago, she called me telling me she'* stuck on Red Arrow Highway, no cars in sight, and she has no clue if she'* on or off the road. Her boyfriend picked her up, and she'* spending the night at his house [not exactly what I would have wanted]. Although it is good she had a place to stay.. because I think everything short of a 4WD pickup would get stuck in this. Just thought I'd share this story with you. As a reminder.. stay safe, and pack a blanket.. just in case you get stuck.

Wow! your mother is lucky.
Snow is comming here on 2 AM. (1 and a half hour from now).
It is making me mad because tomorrow morning I have to go to work. And after that I'm planning to go to the auto show.

If you get dumped with what we got.. you better have a truck you can take.. my Bonneville is snowed in.. like there is snow above the front fascia... so it isn't exactly the most driveable conditions here..

I'm begging any and all available higher powers for snow. Lots of snow. I want a three day weekend, and after my breezy 20 minute commute taking two and a half hours on Tuesday.. My boss knows not to expect me if it'* snowy tomorrow.
I'm at the foot of the Poconos, so we're looking at two-to-four to ten-to-fourteen. Nobody knows what'* coming here.
Besides... I wanna play in the snow.

A little update.
My mom arrived home safe and sound this mourning at 6am. She followed Rich as he drove to work. She was all over the road though.. and they both practically paved Red Arrow Highway, that'* how bad it was. Last night it was too late for me to shovel the driveway, so my mom had to pull in like that.. but I told her to reverse in and give as much gas as she could. Well, she didn't listen to me, and it took her 15 minutes to get in the driveway. I'll try to take some pics.. the streets in town were plowed this mourning.. so it wasn't too bad. But her car is covered in snow. All over the front fascia, wheels, everywhere. My car seems to be okay as far as the front fascia is.. it'* about an inch or two below it.. but the rear is sunk. Looks about two inches up.

I think pics are necessary...
Sorry about the squares on two of the pics.. they were taken from a window, I really didn't want to go outside.
I guess two inches was an understatement...
