Wife and I both smoke, would like to quit but I become the Demon when I go without. Its getting pretty costly, I can only imagine what our Northern friends must pay for cigs.

My solution to the "I wish I could quit, but I damned neaer killed somebody the last time I tried" was to switch to the cheapest brand I could find. I get "Winner"* for 18 bucks a carton....

Hehe, you been there too I see?
Next time I do it, I will fly/swim/boat to some deserted island to get it outta my system. I have heard of people so desperate to quit that they barricade themselves into hotel room hundreds of miles from home for a week or 2, just to break it. I have heard of doctors prescribing hospital stays for some who must quit.
Its a much worse addiction than people give it credit for.

-walks in from the bar with a jack-n-coke, cuts and stokes up a cigar, --
What'* up?
I never liked the taste of cigs. I love my cigars though!
A Wolf Bros. Rum River will hold me over anywhere from 3 days to a week. A box of 50 is $30.

I smoked from the time I was 15 years old to about 4 years ago (I was 34 at the time)when I put them down and quit and it was the best thing I've ever done. I still think about smoking especially in certain situations but over all I feel better.
If I was ever diagnosed with a terminal illness I would start smoking again. Benson & Hedges Deluxe Ultra Menthol lights. Cigarettes here are $3.53 a pack for the premium brands although Marlboro is usually cheaper. I would rather spend my money on something else though- like gas for the car.
