Made in the USA or not the ANALOG system is being phased out and that phone will no longer work. get yourself a new phone a cool phone. and toss that one at some kids 3-6 they might have some fun with it.

It will work for 911 but after Feb 2008 Verizon is dumping AMPS (i.e. analog), so enjoy it while ya can. Oh, you might be able to fanagle a emergency phone calling using a credit card based phone service, but those things are like $4/min...

I'm pretty sure Cingular still has limited analog service. At least they did a year ago before my mother in law died, she had one of those things in her '99 Park Ave.

I just threw it in the back seat of the Eagle and drove home, 15 steps, max. I love old stuff, anybody got any CB radios they don't want, or 8-Tracks or Albums?
