I've seen a few running around here. Two GTS-t (2.0 I6 turbo, ~215hp) and a GT-R. Definately a cool looking car - the R32 is my favouritest of all Skylines... we'll be seeing more in Canada with the now-legal-for-import 15 year old Japanese cars.

Also now legal for import...

WTF is that?

Toyota Mark II (JDM Cressida) - also 1JZ-GTE powered (stock, not swapped). The 1JZ is actually the Japanese MKIII motor - at 2.5L, it'* shorter stroke makes it a revvy little mother with an especially sweet midrange punch, with 276hp. MKIV got the 3.0L 2JZ-GTE.
My bad, you know more about it. The Soarers I was talking about are the ones that look like Lexus ES300s, and come witht the 1JZ stock as far as I know.

And my buddy has an older soarer w/ the swapped 1JZ.

Yeah, the Japanese Soarers got the 1J from about 1991 and onward as their top motor. Us North Americans get the 4.0L 260+hp V8

Yeah it'* some of the 91s we're starting to see here, they just qualified for import according to those "in the know" lol.

I hear the 1JZ has way more potential than the 1UZ-FE (the 4.0). Lethbridge is like import car central, lol.

Well yeah, with the 1JZ you just crank up the boost and you're good to go. Upgrade the turbo and 500hp at the rear wheels is attainable on stock internals...

Yeah those aren't quite legal in Canada yet. Only the R32s are. (which are still pimp and have hella potential)
