Sam'* Club, worth it?
So, I went in to Sam'* Club for the first time ever. Damn they have some good deals! So, I got like 75 bucks worth of stuff in my car, I go up to the cash register, and they ask to see my membership card. I didn't realize I needed a membership. She sent me to a person over at customer services, and then I found out it was 40 DOLLARS JUST to sign up .
Is it worth it? I mean, I don't do that much shopping, are the deals really that worth it?

If you think you can save $30 a year then print up a business card and join as a business member. Yeah thats all you need, a business card, its $10* cheaper and the perks are better too.
* I haven't been a member in 4 years and thats what the price difference was then.

Seriously, I know people that make a twice yearly or so trip to SC, to get the basic staples in case qty'*, they have the garage room for it and know it will get used up.
Ever visit a CostCo? don't have any near me but they seem like a neat place if you like warehouse clubs

Costco (formerly Price Club) was the only warehouse/wholesale/membership chain up here in Canada before Sam'* came in a couple years ago.
