We just had an S10 of that generation in our install bay today, and HOLY CRAP, was it flawless. The plastic grill, the body, the paint, everything was perfect! I wish I got a picture of it.
BTW, Brian, how do you plan on setting up the intake? There'd be almost no room, I'd think, but I'm not one to shoot down a persons dream

Actually, I think there would be just enough room for a 90* elbow off the TB, or I could fab a 90* spacer between the TB and the SC. Or if I went for a MP112, the intake side is a seperate piece, and they make several configurations for that end, including about a 120* turn...

BAD NEWS! It'* being torn back down this morning. I started it to let it idle, and noticed gas spewing out where the main injector plug attaches to the unit. Now it could be a bad o-ring, or even a cracked unit which is kinda common. I hope not as I will have to shell out $250 for a reman one. :( I'm not letting this truck slip through my hands. I'm done with the pathetic sell/buy sell/buy/trade sell buy crap. If I have to, I will buy a new or reman unit.

GM actually have a new kit with the injectors at the ports instead of at the main plug. It does away with problems caused by sticking poppet valves at the ends of the injector tubes. I put that on mine and cured a few intermittent missfire problems.

Yeah, I may have to resort to a new unit. It would be well worth it as I plan on keeping the truck for a few years.
$216.99 on rockauto'* site - Better than $239.99 for a reman OEM unit.

UIM/LIM Stove-Pipe, Gasket Failures
Not too sure that this is the correct place to make the recommendation, but atleast I'll raise it here.
In as much as there is considerable "challenges" relative the UIM & LIM, and respective gaskets failings to various V6 GM engine blocks, would it not be a good idea to have a 'master' forum here, which would deal only with those problems ?? With that in mind, one would be able to have just one forum, here at Bonneville Club, where any car'* owner, having this major issue, could turn.
The forum could be labeled: UIM/LIM coolant leak issue.
A thought..

Forgot to mention it was fixed. I was installing the injectors wrong! Got them in right. Now all is good, but I still had a stuttering/bogging at 1-2500rpms problem, so a thought in my head popped up to clean the MAF. Sure enough! It was dirty as hell! Cleaned it up, no more stuttering/bogging and now it finally squeals the tires! NOW petey will get his burnout.
