Quixtar
Is anyone here involved in the company called Quixtar? I've been hounded by a few people asking me to get into it and I finally joined and after wondering about why they're so pushy to get you to join and why the company does what it does in general, how truthful they really are. Personally, I think it'* a huge scam. I'm trying to convince my friends NOT to get involved in it, but they're drawn into the promiss of "making enough money that you can retire before you're 30." For those who don't know what Quixtar is, it'* a renamed AMWAY basically. If you are part of it, how successful have you been? Thanks for any insight into this. I"m pretty sure I just wasted $250 in registration/motivational tapes cost, and the $250 I"ll have to spend each month just to be " qualified" to earn a potential bonus.

IMO I never heard of that company, but if the money you make is based on how much you sell then all you really need to do is be an Excellent seller. Car salesmen make killer money..........when they are selling lots of cars that is.
If you can sell just about anything, then You'll probably make some good money.

people in Quixtar make money by getting other people to sign up into it. Basically , you have to hit a certain points value of product you buy YOURSELF (usually right around $250/month) before you are even eligable for a bonus at the end of the month. Once you sign some people up under you, you recieve part of their bonus as well if they're buying more than 100 points of product as well. So in theory, they say your income will increase exponentially as the people "under you" hit bonus every month. I see it as a pyramid scheme personally.

Quixtar is an Amway company. It'* just another pyramid scheme. We have friends that recently joined TEAM, which is related to Quixtar. In my eyes, the only way you can make money is getting more people under you. The ones that are doing very well most likely got in early and have a lot of people under them. 99% of those who join aren't going to make anything. To me it'* a very unethical way of making money.

pyramid scam.....um, I mean scheme!
I used to have co-workers who were doing it.
I figure stuff like that is not my cup of tea.
I can see it working in a large metro area, but out here in the stix where everyone knows everyone I figure all you'regoing to get out of it is a bad name and alot of lost friends.

One thing I always ask at these introductionary type meeting is: If were all going to make so much money by me signing up and doing this, why the hell are you charging me $250 to join. Why not give the tapes and twenty bucks to get me motivated." at which point I'm usually escorted out.
I mean, really,
I mean, really,

Almost got drug into that once, about 15 years ago. I don't remember the Quixstar name being mentioned. Was invited to a "meeting" by the manager of the grocery store I worked at in high school. I go there, uninformed, warned by my father that "its probably Amway" with a knowing look in his eye.
I go there, intros were made, then the "leader" of the crew said,
Leader: Tonight, we are going to talk about making LOTS of money in network marketing"
****lotsa cheers and chatter****
Leader: how many of you would like to make 4 times what you earn now working just a few hours a week?
*******more cheers and chatter*****
Me: Is this just an Amway presentation?
******stunned silence*****
Leader (blinking and shocked) : Well, what do you know about Amway?
Me: I know enough that its not for me
Leader: Well why would you want to bring negativity in here? Would you be willing to listen with a postive and open mind?
Me: Sure, rock and roll dude
Lasted about 2 hours, no hard sells, and no one ever called me. Most of them there were friends anyway, so it wasnt a totally lost evening
I just don't believe that there is an easy sure way to riches, its hard work, takes determination and doesnt (usually) happen overnight as the multilevels would have you believe.
