i completely understand what you're saying about making ill-relations... i guess i was curious about what had been said to you in the past to make you roll your eyes about Christianity. don't get me wrong here, i'm not gonna try and shove some kind of doctrine down your throat, i'm just curious.

What does the book talk about? Sounds kind of interesting if its that much being anticipated.

twister-

the book deals with the meaning of life from the standpoint of Christianity. it deals with some very real emotions that most people feel at some point in their lives (Christian or not) and gives a good direction of "where to go from here." suffice to say it'* an extremely intriguing read, and while it forces you to ask yourself many questions it also supplies answers that may surprise you. it helps to make the basics of Christianity make more sense in today'* world. if you've ever had a bad experience with Christians or church this book will give you a better picture of who God really is. highly recommended.

I have a quick summery, just take self out and put God first, you will realize how your walk in life will get better as your on this earth. But, just because you are walikng the walk dont think its going to be just peaches and cream. The bible will be your instruction guide to help fight as well. I'm still reading so I will let you know more.

Lemme Throw this in

I will definetly agree with those that have met some 'religious nutcases', we have all seen at least one major example on 9-11 (they were radical followers of Islam). As far as the 'christian nutz' go i disagree with their tactics (fire and brimstone, bible beating etc.) but i can understand their spirit-- look at it this way....

What is the best car you have ever driven? if someone came to you and said-- i am thinking about a new car what should i get-- obviously we are going to rave about the bonneville . The same would be true in all areas of life (i love my job you should totally apply to this place, they treat their employees great... or I love where i live-- theres a house for sale down the street, etc.)
How much more true would this be if you knew the only way to live forever, wouldn't you want to share that gift with others? I'm not here to preach fire-and-brimstone, but i will tell you that i have found the way--the truth--and the life, through my saviour Jesus Christ.

anyways--- my $0.02

Money well spent! I agree with you 100%. Being a Christian isn't always easy especially when others can't wait until you fall so they can point the finger at you.

My dad has this book. He said he really is enjoying it. I may read in later, but between work, family, and working on my degree in ministry, I'm a bit swamped now...
