8 vs 16 bit doesnt really matter a whole lot. post an image of each, you cant really tell the difference. HDR ends up being taken down to 8 or 16-bit, because you don't have an HDR monitor. it can only display a certain range of lights and darks.. not the foll tonal range that you can see with your eyes.

no, just a hobby shooter with a Nikon D50. I have shot motocross photos for a website before, at the national races. that was when i realized all the photographers around me had 100x more gear and money into it
do you do professional shooting?
i guess you are right there is a bit of a difference. but low quality stuff online, i would bet the average web user wont notice.
