This is, in short, an experiment. The inline ads appear only infrequently (at the moment, about 15% of the time). Don't worry, it'* not a sign of impending doom.

Yes, I know that everybody hates ads. I do too. For four and a half years this site was completely ad free. Unfortunately, it is not free to operate.

I appreciate everybody'* patronage and participation. I hope that everybody understands the necessity of the ads and continues to make BonnevilleClub a vibrant and friendly place to visit.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thank you for the explanation, Jeff. I don't mind them, they're pretty unintrusive. It just surprised me, is all. I thought we had some kind of bug.
I definitely appreciate the work and the money you put into this place. Hell, some of these freaks are like family to me now, and that wouldn't happen if we didn't have such a nice home.

Editing images out is fairly courteous, unless you're commenting on a specific image.

If the same source image (say http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/images/bonn-logo.gif ) is shown twice on a page, it is only downloaded once and appears twice. You're not waiting for it to DL two times but it is annoying taking up room no doubt.

I usually edit out the / in the closing IMG tags when i do this. One thing ClubGP does is try to keep sigs on for the first post in a thread only. I've done it a few times, but forget..
